Lenovo Yoga 720: A 2-in-1 w/ 16GBs of RAM, 7th Gen i7, GTX 1050, & Thunderbolt Port

After my Razer Blade review, a slick laptop with a GTX 1060 built in, and the launch of Lenovo’s new Yoga 720 2-in-1, I think we can officially say we’re in a great time for gamers (and video editors, for that matter).

The Yoga 720 has some serious specs.

  • Intel Core i7 Kabylake processor
  • NVIDIA GTX 1050M GPU
  • 16GBs of RAM (Optional)
  • 4K touchscreen (Optional)
  • 1TB SSD (Optional)
  • JBL Speakers
  • Fingerprint Scanner (Optional)
  • Thunderbolt 3 USB-C port, 2 USB 3.0 ports and a USB 3.1 port

Right? With that processor, that RAM and that GPU shoved in there, we’re talking some decent power for games, editing, whatever. And all this is packed into a clean looking aluminum body that’s 19mm thick. Not only that, but it folds back 360 (hence the 2-in-1 moniker), and can work with an optional pen making it powerful and versatile.

The device runs Windows 10, supposedly lasts up to 8 hours with the top specs selected, 9 if you go for the standard model with lower resolution screen, and weighs about 4.4 lbs (which isn’t light but is expected with the specs).

Personally, I’d love to do a review of it if Lenovo will send me one, but even before that, that spec sheet is impressive and reminds me of how powerful laptops are getting. Exciting times for anyone who relies on pushing pixels for fun or work.
