How to Remove Shortcuts from the Control Center in iOS 7 (Video)
Control center is the screen you pull up from the bottom of your device by dragging your finger up from off the bottom of the screen onto it. It is where you can quickly access Wifi, Bluetooth, AirPlay, Screen brightness, and more. Sometimes though, you don’t need all of that to be there (how often do you change the brightness manually?). Using a Jailbreak tweak called CCHide, you can remove any part of the control center you don’t like. Here’s how to install it and how to use it to remove shortcuts from control center.
I. Jailbreak your iPhone/iPad
To do this procedure you must be jailbroken. If you aren’t, you can head to our Jailbreak How To’s section and pick the jailbreak for your version of iOS (currently at the time of writing this is 7.0.4). Once done with that procedure and you have Cydia installed, head back here to continue.
II. Install CCHide
1. Open Cydia (if it isn’t still open from the section above).
2. Tap Search in the bottom right corner.
3. Type in CCHide.
4. Tap on CCHide when it shows up.
5. Tap Install in the top right corner.
6. Tap Restart.
III. Setup CCHide
1. Go to Settings.
2. Tap on CCHide.
3. Turn off the sections you don’t want to show in the Control Center.
4. You can also choose to have media controls only show if music is playing (enabled by default).
