I couldn’t get this rom to work. I keep getting force closes on login. It would never allow me to advance past the unlock screen.
Turns out I was having a separate problem with the force closes. I have corrected that and the new rom is working.
Install doesn’t allow me to setup my Google Account. It also does not have the Google Market app. V8. Without these two features it renders this image useless. I cannot get any apps that I use unless I back them all up to my SD card prior to install.
The speed is incredibly faster though. I’m excited for subsequent releases of this rom that will allow me to actually use it.
If you can’t set up your Google account it is because you dont have the package Gapps_gb flashed. If you flash that zip it will allow you to set that up. I installed Gingerbread on my Droid Eris about a month ago but had several problems with my phone basically crashing. It was running really sluggish and then force closed the OS. Anyone else having these problems?
I do not understand why it seems to be ok for these developers to introduce a partial product. I shouldn’t have to go dig for “all” the “parts” to make everything work. That’s ridiculous.

I have been running this ROM for a week now on my Droid Eris with no issues. I love the fact that my phone is now relevant in todays market and I don’t have to go out and get a new one to get the features that I want. Great job, many thanks! Don’t forget to flash the gapps file and skip the setup when you first start your phone to get your google account working.
How do you flash the gapps file, and where do you get the gapps file from?
everything was great for about a week. everything force closes. camera doesn’t work. market FC’s browser FC’s USB hasn’t worked for about a month or so. … the 3D gallery blows, it takes forever to load and FC’s the other half of the time.
