SNES Classic is Official, Here We Go Again
Welp, Nintendo is at it again. After the huge success of the NES Classic, it seems Nintendo is now releasing the SNES Classic as the sequel.
The new, also miniature, version of the original SNES (launched back in 1990, by the way) will be available Sept 29th of this year and come with 21 pre-loaded games.
List of Games:
- Contra III: The Alien Wars
- Donkey Kong Country
- EarthBound
- Final Fantasy III
- F-ZERO
- Kirby Super Star
- Kirby’s Dream Course
- The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
- Mega Man X
- Secret of Mana
- Star Fox
- Star Fox 2
- Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting
- Super Castlevania IV
- Super Ghouls ’n Ghosts
- Super Mario Kart
- Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
- Super Mario World
- Super Metroid
- Super Punch-Out!!
- Yoshi’s Island
Keen-eyed original SNES users might notice the inclusion of Star Fox 2, which was never actually released–as well as the absence of other favorites like Chrono Trigger.
Nintendo says they will address the controller cable length issues of the NES classic giving these 5 foot cables–instead of the NES Classic’s 3 foot ones–as well as make sure there is enough hardware to supply the demand (sureeeeee).
