MotoBlur ROMs for the G1, MyTouch and Magic!

Want to try the new Motorola interface for the Motorola CLIQ or the Pulse interface from the Huawei T-Mobile UK Pulse before they’re even released (don’t you love those XDA Devs…)?

Well if you have a G1, a MyTouch, or a Magic, ROMs are available in the Downloads section for you to flash. Just put on SD card, rename to update boot into recovery, wipe, then apply update.zip. (The Pulse ROM only works on the G1 for now, anyone want to try it on the MyTouch and post a comment if it works?)

Now it is an early ROM and considering the actual phone its from isn’t even out there are some features that don’t work:

  • Camera
  • Multitouch
  • Apps2SD
  • WiFi
  • Bluetooth
  • Not the speediest ROM just yet…

soo yea it works on my touch… and sorry for the many post but im researching on the rom and posting as i go…

  3. Don’t forget… they got the Pulse ROM out for the G1 too. I think that one is better than the Cliq ROM. Makes me wonder why people spend money for anything but a G1. The sole thing I don’t like about a G1 is that it doesn’t have a headphone jack.

    1. Hello Kevin,

Not sure, but do you know anyone with T-Mobile with a data plan? You can just pop their SIM in to begin. Otherwise, just call T-Mobile and add the data plan for the day and remove it the next day (it’ll cost you $24.95 / 30 * 1 = $0.83).

  4. :D, i did that alots bc im using my G1 for awhile, so they start asking question y? 😛 and i dont know anyone with data plan like that, can you just ask anyone? cuz im sure u kno lots more ppl then i do, if you have anymore infomation, juss tell me here,i check this web everyday 😀
    thanks alot theunlockr

    1. Hello Kevin,

There is nothing wrong with adding a data plan then removing it. They can’t stop you, just say you need internet on the phone today, what are they going to say “No you can’t have internet and pay us for it.”

  5. oh we can do that? 😀 alrite then haha, cuz there was 1 time i add and remove and add and remove in like 1 week so they ask and i think we wasn’t suppose to do it so 😀 thanks

  6. put the rom on my MT3G.
its laggy but it worked. i took it off and went back to jacheroski. the screen wouldnt go to sleep and it was kinda just annoying. also tried the pulse.same thing. keyboard was acting up, not sleeping, slow and buttons not coordinated. i do like how the screens are set up though. pretty cool.

however tried them but didnt like em as much as hero.

  7. I put it on my MT3G and was able to note that WiFi was not working. I was able to set up a blur account. It was a bit slow and not sure but I was not able to see the horizontal keyboard. I guess I would have to download one. It did act very slow but I admit, when I saw the MotoBlur logo on boot, I was pretty excited.
