Running out of power on your phone and no charger nearby? Well, so long as you can get to a vending machine or convenience store, not a problem.
Daizi Zheng, has designed a prototype of a phone that runs on a bio battery for Nokia. Essentially the battery can take any carbohydrates and using enzymes could convert the carbohydrates into electricity (kinda like how our bodies can, creepy right?).
So he demonstrates this concept by pouring a sugary soda into the phone and viola, power.
Not sure how practical a sugar powered phone might be, BUT I do see a use for this as a charging station that multiple phones can connect to…
