Motorola Atrix/Atrix 4G getting updated to Gingerbread soon
While the device is capable of blowing away its competitors in terms of sheer hardware power, the Atrix is flawed in one single aspect – no Gingerbread out of the box. But the company seems to be doing the needful, according to Andrew Morley, VP of International Marketing, who thus spake just before the Atrix launch in the UK on Orange.

Also, Mr Morley revealed that the update will be pushed out in the US and Europe simultaneously, which would definitely be a first for Motorola. Looking at the past record of the company, Motorola has been less than punctual when it comes to updates and the present statement in no way presents a definite time frame for the Atrix update. The only solace we will have until it’s out are the unofficial builds that are available thanks to the developer community.
