Gingerbread update out now for the Samsung Galaxy Ace

It’s been almost four months since the official build of the Gingerbread update for the Froyo-running Galaxy Ace was leaked (and already being used by big chunk of flash-savvy populace), but Samsung didn’t utter a word on when the actual rollout will begin.  It hasn’t done so even now, but has instead opted to deliver the goods through its official channel (read: Kies), according to SamFirmware.

Currently, the graduated rollout will begin in Russia and Poland before making its way on to phones across the world.  The Android version is still 2.3.3 though, not 2.3.4, but it’s all the same for a middling device that has seen its fair share of success since its release to get a new breath of life.
