Android 2.3.3 update heads to Rogers Xperia X10

The unlocked versions are enjoying it already and carriers are slowly releasing their modified versions of the Gingerbread update for the ancient Sony Ericsson Xperia X10.  First off the pad is the Rogers’ version of the handset which has now been deemed fit for the update and the same was announced by SE Canada on Twitter.

The update can be flashed on to the device using the PC Companion tool which can be obtained here.  We are not sure if the update can also be downloaded over the air, but we’ll let you know if that’s possible.  By the way, the update will still be Android 2.3.3, not 2.3.4 or 2.3.5.

  1. So I updated my Xperia X10 with the Sony Ericsson PC Companion and I HATE the new version. Everything force close from text messages to games and sometimes the web. Is there a way for me to format my phone to the original version?
