RIM founder Mike Lazaridis thought it was necessary to issue a public apology for the widespread service outage that lasted three days. In the video apology Lazaridis acknowledges that RIM “dropped the ball”, but assured BlackBerry customers that the company was working hard to solve the issue. Additionally, Lazaridis noted that no one had left RIM since Monday and that this was the largest outage the company had ever experienced.

Shortly after the video apology was issued, Lazaridis later confirmed that BlackBerry had indeed restored full services across the globe. If you’re still not receiving messages, RIM suggests pulling your battery and rebooting the phone. Still feeling a little bent out of shape from the outage? Check out the video apology above the head honcho himself.
