There is little arguement surrounding the impact Steve Jobs and his work with Apple’s iTunes has had in the music industry. So it seems appropriate that the Recording Academy has decided to honor this by recognizing the former CEO and Apple co-founder for a Trustees Award for “outstanding contributions to the industry in a non-performing capacity.”

This award marks the second Grammy to celebrate Apple’s significant impression in the music world. Apple was awarded a Technical Grammy exactly ten years ago to date.
