Cobra Electronics Unveils New Cobra Tag G5, Offers 6 Months Battery Life

In a surprising announcement prior to the CES 2012 kick off, Cobra Electronics has finally introduced their latest Bluetooth device dubbed the G5. The latest product to follow in the Tag line, this device pairs up to your smartphone and triggers custom alarms whenever the two devices become separated. What’s unique about the new G5 is that it takes full advantage of the Bluetooth 4.0 Low-Energy standard. Essentially, the G5 can offer up more than six months of use before needing another charge. Additional benefits include the G5 being compatible with the Bluetooth 4.0-capable iPhone 4S, and of course the usual list of approved Android devices.
