HTC Vivid’s Ice Cream Sandwich Update
According to a Facebook post by HTC, the HTC Vivid is one of the first smartphones in the US to get the update to Android 4.0, aka Ice Cream Sandwich. The update also brings some type of maintenance-blah-blah to the Beats by Dr Dre system on the phone as well, but who cares?! Ice Cream Sandwich people! Oh, did I mention? It should be available right now, here’s how to get it:
1. Make sure your battery is over 50% charged.
2. Connect to a Wifi network.
3. Go to Settings > About phone (or Update) > then Check for Update. If it doesn’t say you have an update available, give it a few hours and try again, should be rolling out to all devices ASAP.
