Verizon Unveils the LG Lucid: Mid-Range Specs, $80, March 29th Launch
If you’re looking for an affordable mid-range smartphone on Big Red’s blazing fast network, then this latest installment to Verizon’s phone lineup just may interest you. Today, Verizon officially announced the LG Lucid’s debut slated for a March 29th launch.
The Lucid will run consumers $80 (after a 2-year contract and a $50 mail-in rebate) and offers up decent specs for what Verizon considers to be a mid-range smartphone. Spec highlights include a 4-inch Gorilla Glass display, 1.2GHz dual-core CPU, 1GB of RAM, 5MP rear-facing camera with 1080p video capture,a front-facing camera for video chats, and of course, Verizon LTE capable.
Sadly, no Ice Cream Sandwich for this handset as the Lucid will ship Gingerbread ready. However, Verizon did mention that they’re working hard to bring the Android 4.0 upgrade to the Lucid shortly after it’s released.
