Nokia and Microsoft Release Word, PowerPoint, and Excel to Symbian Belle Phones
Great news for anyone clutching a Nokia Symbian Belle powered handset, as a new utility update completes the Office suite tools for Symbian. That’s right, Microsoft has released Word, PowerPoint, and Excel to Symbian Belle phones, which should make a few people smile. Users will now be able to create and edit Word and Excel files, and edit (but not create) PowerPoint files. The apps will join OneNote, Document Connection, Lync and PowerPoint Broadcast, which were released earlier this year.
The 50MB utility update is available now for the following devices: E7, C7, C6-01, X7, Oro, 700, 701 or 603. Availability for the N8, 500 and E6 will be announced at a later date. As expected, your device will require a restart after the 15 minute install.
