How to Take a Screenshot on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus

The Samsung Galaxy Nexus is a great device and with Ice-Cream Sandwich on board, the device is just pure joy to use.  The device (and the OS) has many features that many other devices currently lack, mainly because some of these devices are yet to receive their ICS update.  One of these features is the ability to take screenshots on the Galaxy Nexus, which is useful in sharing your settings or showing off your new wallpaper, in a few easy steps.  We’ll show you below just how to do this below.

I.  Hitting the Right Buttons

1.  Make sure you are in the screen that you want to capture.

2.  If you do not want others to know what apps you are running constantly (those that have an icon reserved in the notification area), disable them until you finish taking the screenshot.

3.  Press and hold the Volume Down button and the Power button.

4.  If you did it correctly, you will hear the camera shutter sound that is usually heard when taking pictures.

Your screenshots are usually located in the Internal Storage\Pictures\Screenshots folder in case you want to view them or share them on your desktop.  To look at the latest screenshot you took, all you have to do is pull down the notification bar and click on “Screen captured”, assuming you haven’t cleared your notifications already.
