How To Setup Xbox Live on Your Windows Phone

One of the benefits of Windows Phone is the ability to play games through Xbox Live. This allows you to use your Xbox profile to keep track of scores, achievements, and even challenge friends to compete in games. If you’re new to Windows Phone, or don’t own an Xbox, this might seem a bit confusing to setup, so let us show you how.

I. Create a Windows Live ID (If you don’t already have one, if you do, skip to Section II)

1. On your computer or phone, go to Live.com

2. You will be prompted to login or sign up. Select Sign Up on the left.

3. Enter in your information and finish the sign up process. Remember the email address and password you create.

II. Sign In to Windows Live

1. Swipe to the left to reveal the app list to the right.

2. Scroll and locate the Settings app and select it.

3. Locate and select Email+Accounts.

4. Select the Add an Account.

5. Select Windows Live.

6. Enter in your Windows Live email address and password and select Sign In.

III. Connect the Xbox Live Account

1. Swipe to the left to reveal the app list to the right.

2. Scroll down and select Games and select it.

3. Tap the screen once and it should begin to login with your Xbox Live account tied to the Windows Live account you setup earlier. (Or create an Xbox Live account using the Windows Live ID if you don’t already have one).
