Galaxy S III Developer Edition for Verizon Now Live On Samsung’s Site, Coming Soon
For anyone with a passionate love for unlocked bootloaders, it will be hard to contain your excitement as the landing page for the Galaxy S III Developer Edition for Verizon is now live on Samsung’s website. As you may already know, Verizon is the only carrier here in the U.S. to offer up the device with an unlocked bootloader. While we wait for other carriers to get on board with the movement, developers and custom ROM lovers alike are relishing in the good news.
The landing page doesn’t offer much information regarding the special device’s availability or exact pricing, but you will be able to buy the 32GB variant in pebble blue. No word yet on the 16GB or white models, but we’re expecting the 32GB to be priced around $599. Be sure and keep an eye on the source link below for availability details in the coming weeks.
Should it really come to this? Why does Samsung need to provide a “different” phone for their customers. How would a customer know whether or not he/she is getting a device that has an unlockable bootloader?
