      1. all of it lol. i ended up going to a website and downloading kingon app did it straight away with no fuss. also advise to flash the new or custome os after using app. the download for the recovery and flashing does not work in the downloads you mentioned infact when you for root it was going through the motions but nothing was happening on the phone? very weird even though it claimed to have completed successfully.

        1. Hello Paul,

Well, the procedure’s supposed to work fine, as it’s been tested by the developers. Probably there’s an issue either with your device or your PC.

          1. no no problem with pc or devices. hooked them all up to adb and such everything was fine with them all. I also have another win7 pc and linux pc as well as a tablet all ok. tested this method on win7 and still same issue with the software downloaded. there is an app called kingo you can download from there site to root the handset in one click worked perfectly. if you want to find out more theres an app explaining on playstore just click root in search and it will pop up. I believe this method you are explaining is dependant on the handset version there seems to be more success on grand X IN than others.

          2. (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

It’s probably the fact that his Grand X phone is a different model, such as the z933 model if you bought it from Canada.

  1. not working on the ZTE Grand X z933 Model tried everything cwm recovery wont even flash to my phone it says it did but it didnt

  2. i have a ZTE grand X Z777 and i dont have a sim card. could I still Reset the phone or do I need a sim card.
