How to Root the Huawei U8160

Huawei’s U8160 smartphone is compatible with the SuperOneClick Tool and gaining root access is as simple as hitting a single button. The Huawei U8160 is also known as Vodafone Smart, you might have heard this name while searching on Google. Let’s coming to the point, to root your Huawei U8160 smartphone, you’ve to follow all the steps given in the following guide.

I. Before You Begin:

1. This will void the warranty of your device so try it at your own risk.

2. Make sure your device is charged to have at least 50% of battery life left.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. SuperOneClick (It is attached there in the first post)

III. Rooting the Huawei U8160:

1. Place the SuperOneClick Tool archive on your Desktop.

2. Extract files from the Tool archive to the Desktop.

3. Turn ON USB debugging on your device from Menu>>Settings>>Applications>>Development>>USB debugging.

4. Connect the device to your PC using the USB cable.

5. Launch the SuperOneClick Tool by double-clicking on its executable file.

6. From the Main Interface of the tool, click the Root button.

7. It should inject the Superuser and Busybox apps to your device, wait for it to finish.

8. Your device should reboot after the root access is achieved.

9. Your device should now be rooted !

Brilliant! Within just two minutes, you gained root access on your Huawei U8160 smartphone. Nothing could be better than rooting a device within a single click, no hassles of issuing commands and all that stuff!
