How to Install TWRP Recovery on the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini

Though Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini carries Mini with its name, but its features are not Mini at all. After getting one of the greatest custom recoveries, ClockworkMod Recovery, the device’s now all set to get another custom recovery called TWRP. While the features of both of the recoveries are similar, TWRP provides a better, at least in my opinion, user-interface for better navigation and it’s customizable, too. If you’re interested in giving TWRP a shot, then head onto the following guide and install TWRP Recovery on your Galaxy S3 Mini smartphone. I. Before You Begin:

1. You must have rooted your device before doing this procedure. You can check out our root guide to root your device.

2. Your device needs to have at least 60% of battery life left.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. GooManager — QR Code (Google Play Link)

III. Installing TWRP Recovery on the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini:

1. Download and install the GooManager app on your device using the link given above.

2. Once installed, open it from your App Drawer.

3. Press the Menu key and select Install OpenRecoveryScript option.

4. It’ll ask you to confirm your action, simply tap Yes.

5. It’ll show you the name of your device, if it’s perfect, hit Yes.

6. Now sit back and relax as the app will automatically download and install the recovery on your device.

7. Once the recovery’s installed on your device, reboot your device.

8. And you’re all set!

Excellent! Your Galaxy S3 Mini now has a full touch recovery called TWRP to flash custom ROMs, Mods, Tweaks and everything you find under the sun.
