How to Unroot the Kyocera Rise

There could be various reasons you may want to unroot your device, maybe you just want your lost warranty back, or you don’t need root-access any more. Either way, this guide will help you unroot your device. It won’t take more than a few minutes to unroot your device, so without further ado, let’s get onto the procedure.

I. Before You Begin:

1. You must have rooted your device using the procedure given here. If you used any other method to root your device, then the following procedure may or may not work for you.

2. This works on Windows based PCs only.

3. You should have drivers for your device installed on your PC. If you don’t, you can get them from here.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. Root Package (Download link’s given in the first post)

III. Unrooting the Kyocera Rise:

1. Place the Root Package archive onto your Desktop.

2. Unzip files from the archive and put them on your Desktop.

3. Enable the USB debugging option on your device by heading to Menu>>Settings>>Developer options>>USB debugging.

4. Once it’s been enabled, connect your device to your PC using the USB cable.

5. Launch the Root Utility by double-clicking on RunMe.bat file you extracted to your Desktop.

6. Select Unroot option in the utility and follow the on-screen instructions.

7. And you’re unrooted now!

Excellent! Your device’s been successfully unrooted. You won’t see Superuser app any longer in your App Drawer as it’s been removed by the utility.
