How to Flash a Custom Recovery on the Asus Transformer TF700
Good news for the Asus Transformer TF700 users, you now have TWRP Recovery for your device besides the ClockworkMod Recovery that’s already available for your device. This new recovery is a fully-touch based recovery, comprising of some of the great functions that include flashing custom ROMs and ZIPs, making backups and so on. User-interface is well-designed and is an attraction point of the recovery. If you’re interested in giving it a shot, then just follow the following guide.
I. Before You Begin:
1. You must have rooted your device before doing this procedure. Please head to our How to Root the Asus Transformer TF700 procedure first, finish it, then return to this procedure and continue.
2. This will replace your current recovery with the TWRP Recovery.
II. Downloading Required Files:
1. GooManager — QR Code (Google Play Link)
III. Installing TWRP Recovery on the Asus Transformer TF700:
1. First of all, head on over to Google Play and install the GooManager app on your device. The link’s given above.
2. Once the app’s been installed, launch it from your App Drawer.
3. Press the Menu key and then select the Install OpenRecoveryScript option.
4. Tap Yes to confirm your action.
5. You should now see the model number of your device on your screen. If you think it’s okay, hit Yes.
6. Sit back and relax as the app will now automatically download and install the recovery on your device.
7. You’re all set!
Amazing! You’ve successfully flashed the TWRP Recovery on your device. Now go ahead and enjoy some custom ROMs taste on your device!
