HP Slate 7 Tablet Now Available for $169.99, Wants You to Buy It Over the Nexus 7

HP has quietly released their latest device, the Slate 7, in attempt to carve out a niche in the 7-inch tablet market. So, how exactly do they plan to win you over? Well, with a reasonable price, Beats Audio software, and a slick design. This Android 4.1 powered slab comes fully equipped with a dual-core ARM Cortex A9 chip clocked at 1.6GHz, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal memory, and a not so impressive WVA display. Where this device lacks in display it picks up in overall design with its sleek look. At least the look of the slab has aesthetic appeal  HP is hoping the $170 price tag will steer your business their way instead of throwing in $30 more dollars and opting for a Nexus 7.
