How to Unroot the Huawei Ascend G300

Maybe you’re having some issues with your device? Maybe you want your device to be checked at service center? Either way, you’ll want to unroot your device. Unrooting will reinstate the warranty of your device, and in most cases, it solves some minor issues. So, here’s how you can unroot your Huawei Ascend G300 and get it back to stock.

I. Before You Begin:

1. You should have rooted your device using the procedure given here.

2. You must have CWM Recovery installed on your device. Follow this guide to get it on your device.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. Stock ROM (Download link’s given at the bottom of the page)

2. Quick BootQR Code (Google Play Link)

III. Unrooting the Huawei Ascend G300:

1. Download the Stock ROM file and place it on your Desktop. Do NOT extract it, leave it as is.

2. Connect your device to your PC via USB cable.

3. Copy the Stock ROM file over to the root of your SD card.

4. Once the file’s been copied, disconnect your device from your PC.

5. Now head over to Google Play and download and install the Quick Boot app on your device.

6. Once it’s been installed, launch it from your App Drawer.

7. Tap on Recovery option in the app and your device will reboot into Recovery mode.

8. From the Recovery menu, select install zip from sdcard followed by choose zip from sdcard.

9. Choose the Stock ROM file you copied earlier to your device for flashing.

10. It’ll take some time to flash the file, so be patient.

11. Once the file has been flashed, reboot your device.

12. And you’re all set!

Great! Your device’s been unrooted and is back to stock. The warranty of your device has also been reinstated!
