How to Root the Huawei Ascend G600

Some users say that rooting Huawei devices have always been a difficult task, but that’s not the case with the Huawei Ascend G600. Rooting the said device is extremely easy, all thanks to the efforts of the root developer. Rooting your device has many benefits, as you will be able to load root-only apps on your device, uninstall system apps and go beyond the normal customizations. Sounds interesting? huh. Let us show you how you can root your Huawei Ascend G600 smartphone.

I. Before You Begin:

1. This will void the warranty of your device. However, you can reinstate the warranty by unrooting your device if there’s any unrooting procedure available.

2. You need to have unlocked bootloader of your device. Follow the instructions given here to unlock your bootloader.

3. This procedure works on Windows based PCs only.

4. This procedure flashes a custom recovery on your device as well.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. Root File (Download link’s available in the first post)

2. Recovery File (Download link’s available in the first post)

III. Rooting the Huawei Ascend G600:

1. Place both the files onto your Desktop.

2. Extract files from the Recovery archive over to your Desktop.

3. Turn OFF your device.

4. Reboot your device into Fastboot mode. To do so, simply hold down the Volume DOWN+Power buttons for about 10 seconds.

5. Your device should reboot into Fastboot mode.

6. Plug in your device to your PC using the USB cable.

7. Now double-click on the flash_RECOVERY.bat file you extracted earlier from the Recovery archive.

8. It should flash the custom recovery on your device.

9. Once it’s done, your device will reboot.

10. Now copy the Root File over to the root of your SD card.

11. Turn OFF your device.

12. Press and hold the Volume UP+Power buttons for about 10 seconds and your device will reboot into Recovery mode.

13. From the Recovery mode, select install zip from sdcard followed by choose zip from sdcard.

14. Select the Root File you copied earlier to your device for flashing.

15. It will flash the file on your device.

16. Once the file’s been flashed, reboot your device.

17. And you should be rooted now!

Congrats! Your Ascend G600 has been rooted and is equipped with a custom recovery to fulfill all your customization needs!
