How to Unroot the LG Optimus L7

If you’re going to sell your LG Optimus L7 or returning it to service center, better you unroot it first. Unrooting will reinstate the warranty of your device and erase all the modifications that you’ve done on your device, putting it in an out-of-the box condition. Here’s how you can unroot your LG Optimus L7 and get it back to stock firmware.

I. Before You Begin:

1. You should have rooted your device using the procedure given here.

2. This works on Windows based PCs only.

3. You should have appropriate drivers installed on your PC. If you don’t, get them from here.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. Stock Firmware (Download link’s available in the first step)

2. KDZ (Download link’s available in the second step)

III. Unrooting the LG Optimus L7:

1. Place both the files you downloaded to your Desktop.

2. Extract files from the KDZ archive over to your Desktop.

3. Turn ON the USB debugging option on your device by going to Menu>>Settings>>Developer options>>USB debugging.

4. Double-click on the KDZ executable file available on your Desktop.

5. Turn OFF your device.

6. Reboot your device into Emergency mode. To do so, simply press and hold the Volume UP+Power buttons together.

7. Connect your device to your PC via USB cable.

8. Now in the KDZ tool, choose 3GQCT from the Type dropdown menu and EMERGENCY from the Phone Mode menu.

9. Put in the Stock Firmware file you downloaded earlier in the KDZ tool.

10. Hit Launch software update button and it’ll begin flashing the firmware.

11. It will take some good time to flash the file, so have patience.

12. Once it has done flashing the file, reboot your device.

13. And you should be unrooted now!

Awesome! Your device has been unrooted and is now running the official stock firmware.
