How to Refresh and Reset your Windows 8 PC

Windows 8 brings with it a cool option that allows you to refresh and reset your PC. It’s useful when your PC’s not performing well and you want to reload the OS data on it. While reset lets you remove all of the files from your drives and get a fresh copy of Windows installed on your PC. Here’s how you can do both:

I. Refreshing your Windows 8 PC:

1. Press the Windows Logo+I keys together and a menu will appear in the right-hand side.

2. Click on Change PC settings option.

3. From the left-hand side, click on General followed by Get started under the Refresh your PC without affecting your files heading.

4. The next screen will tell you what it’ll do to your PC. If it’s okay, hit Next.

5. The rest of the procedure is a simple next…next…next procedure.

6. You’re done!

Great! Your PC has just been refreshed and any issues you were facing before would have been solved now!

II. Resetting your Windows 8 PC:

1. Press the Windows Logo+I keys together and click on Change PC settings option given in the right-hand side.

2. Click on General followed by Get started under theĀ Remove everything and reinstall Windows heading.

3. Follow the on-screen instructions to get the job done.

4. You’re done!

Brilliant! You’ve successfully reset your Windows 8 PC and it should now work as great as a new PC!
