How to Enable Passcode Lock on an iPhone

Passcode Lock feature on your iPhone allows you to set a lock that can only be unlocked by entering the correct numerals. If you’re going away from your device for some time and you don’t want to risk your device being in hands of other people, just enable the Passcode Lock and it won’t let them use your device. Here’s how you can do that:

I. Before You Begin:

1. This should work on other iOS devices as well, including the iPad and iPod Touch.

II. Enabling Passcode Lock on an iPhone:

1. Tap on the Settings icon on your screen.

2. Tap on General followed by Passcode Lock.

3. Hit the first option that says Turn Passcode On.

4. You’ll be asked to set a passcode. Simply enter any numeric that you can easily remember.

5. You’ll be needed to re-enter the passcode.

6. And you’re done!

Great! Now whenever you turn OFF the screen of your device and turn it back on, you will be asked to enter your passcode to get access to the device!
