How to Unroot the Motorola Electrify 2

So after spending some good time with your rooted Motorola Electrify 2 you decided to unroot it? No problem, here’s how you can do that. People unroot their devices for various reasons, maybe they’re going to sell their device, visiting service or just want to go back to stock. No matter whatever the reason is, here’s how you can unroot your Motorola Electrify 2 smartphone.

I. Before You Begin:

1. You should have rooted your device using the procedure given here.

2. This works on Windows based PCs only.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. Quick BootQR Code (Google Play Link)

2. Stock Firmware (Download link’s given in the first post)

3. RSD Lite (It’s attached in the first post)

III. Unrooting the Motorola Electrify 2:

1. Place all the files you’ve downloaded to your Desktop.

2. Unzip files from RSD Lite archive over to your Desktop.

3. On your device, head over to Google Play and download and install the Quick Boot app.

4. Once it’s been installed, launch it from your App Drawer.

5. Hit Bootloader option in the app and your device will reboot into bootloader mode.

6. Plug in your device to your PC using the USB cable.

7. Double-click on the RSD Lite executable file and follow the installation instructions.

8. Once it’s been installed, launch it from your Desktop.

9. Click “…” and choose the Stock Firmware file you have placed on your Desktop.

10. Hit Start and it’ll begin flashing the firmware.

11. Once the firmware’s been flashed, reboot your device.

12. And you’re all done!

Brilliant! Your device has been successfully unrooted and is restored to the original stock firmware.
