How to Unroot the Samsung Galaxy Tab P1000 (3G+WiFi)

Need to send in your device for warranty reasons? Make sure you unroot it first and reclaim its warranty so you don’t have any issues at the service center. The guide below outlines how you can unroot your Samsung Galaxy Tab P1000 (3G+WiFi) and get it back to stock. This way, you’ll be back to stock and have your lost warranty back. Here you go:

I. Before You Begin:

1. You should have rooted your device using the procedure given here.

2. Make sure your device has at least 70% of battery life left.

3. This procedure works on Windows based PCs only.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. Stock Firmware (Download the appropriate firmware for your device)

2. Odin

III. Unrooting the Samsung Galaxy Tab P1000 (3G+WiFi):

1. Place both files you downloaded to your Desktop.

2. Unzip files from both the archives over to your Desktop.

3. Double-click on the Odin executable file and it’ll launch.

4. Click on PDA and select the Stock Firmware file you extracted earlier on your Desktop.

5. Make sure to checkmark the boxes that say Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time.

6. Remove checkmark from the box that says Repartition.

7. Turn OFF your device.

8. Turn it back on by holding down Volume DOWN+Power buttons together.

9. Let go of the Power button when you see Samsung logo on your screen.

10. Select Download mode from the options available on your screen.

11. Plug in your device to your PC using the USB cable.

12. Hit Start and wait till it finishes flashing stock firmware on your device.

13. Once it’s done, your device will automatically reboot.

14. And you’re all done!

Awesome! Your device has been unrooted and is all the way back to stock.

  1. I rooted my GT-P1000 and then i don’t know how……. I happened to er….. accidentally uninstall Superuser via some OTA SuperSU app……. after unrooting the phone with this …… will i be able to re root my phone to install CyanogenMod

    Hey, Mahesh, does it flash this also wipe my user data?? i mean, such as contacts, Photos, Video, etc?? Do i need to backup it first??
