II. Downloading Required Files:

1. Root Package (It’s attached in the second post)

III. Rooting the Vizio VTAB1008:

Is this for Vizio tablets running Honeycomb? I was under the impression that the HC update was unrootable.

    • Mahesh Makvana

Yes, this should work on the Honeycomb firmware as well.

Can you confirm this will work with Honeycomb?

        • cam

This does not work on Honeycomb firmware, just tried it. Went through the process, rebooted and still no root.

Can anyone confirm this will work with HC?

  • Jim Mansell

Mahesh, thank you for this info. But a quick question, where is the root package you said was in the second post? The link takes you to XDA Developers, and it says right there that there is no way to root after the software update.

  • Richard

This hasn’t worked in years, so why the post?
