How to Flash a Custom Recovery on the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2

If you’ve rooted your Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 smartphone, then the next obvious step is to flash a custom recovery. Doing so will enable you to flash custom ROMs, Mods and almost all sorts of flashable content. Here’s how you can flash a custom recovery on your Galaxy Ace 2 smartphone.

I. Before You Begin:

1. You must have rooted your device before doing this procedure. Please head to our root procedure first, finish it, then return to this procedure and continue.

2. Make sure your device has at least 60% of battery life left.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. ClockworkMod Recovery (Download link’s given in the first post)

III. Flashing a Custom Recovery on the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2:

1. Place the CWM Recovery file on your Desktop.

2. Plug in your device to your PC using the USB cable.

3. Copy the Recovery file over to the root of your SD card.

4. Once it’s been copied, unplug your device from your PC.

5. Turn OFF your device.

6. Turn it back on by holding down Volume UP+Home+Power buttons together.

7. Your device should reboot into Recovery mode.

8. From there, select apply update from sdcard option.

9. Choose the CWM Recovery file to be flashed on your device.

10. It’ll start flashing the file on your device.

11. Once the file’s been flashed, reboot your device.

12. And you’re done!
