How to Unroot the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini (GT-I9195)

Have you gone a little too far with customizing your Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini device? Want to get everything as normal as it was when you got the device? You’ve come to the right place, this guide should help you do that. Unrooting your device will get all the stock apps and settings back to your device so you can then start everything over. Here’s how you can do that:

I. Before You Begin:

1. You should have rooted your device using the procedure given here.

2. Your device should have at least 70% of battery life left.

3. This procedure works on the GT-I9195 model only.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. Stock Firmware (Download the appropriate firmware for your device)

2. Odin

III. Unrooting the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini (GT-I9195):

1. Download and place both the archives onto your Desktop.

2. Extract files from both the archives over to your Desktop.

3. Double-click on the Odin executable file and it should open.

4. Click on PDA and choose the Stock Firmware file you just extracted from the archive to your Desktop.

5. Uncheck Repartition box if it’s already checked.

6. Checkmark the boxes labeled as Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time.

7. Turn OFF your device.

8. Turn it back on by holding down Volume DOWN+Home+Power buttons together.

9. Press the Volume UP button and you should be in Download mode.

10. Plug in your device to your PC via USB cable.

11. Press the Start button and it’ll start flashing the firmware on your device.

12. Once flashing’s done, your device should automatically reboot.

13. You’re all done!

Awesome! Your Galaxy S4 Mini has been successfully unrooted and is back to stock!

    1. Hello valy,

Did you have appropriate drivers installed on your PC before doing this procedure? If not, head over to the Samsung website and download and install the required drivers for your device on your PC.

      It should work fine then.

      Thanks!
