How to Unroot the Huawei myTouch Q (T-Mobile)
Perhaps you’re done playing with root and custom ROMs on your Android device? Regardless of the reason, it’s usually pretty easy to unroot your device and go back to the unrooted state.
Some of the reasons for unrooting your Huawei myTouch Q (T-Mobile) are:
- Sending in the device for warranty (most, but not all unrooting procedures reinstate the manufacturer warranty if you had one before rooting).
- Starting over (simply undoing everything you did while rooted so you can have a clean slate to start over).
- Fix any issues (Maybe rooting messed something up? No problem, unrooting will take care of it for you).
Ready to get started? Here’s how to unroot the Huawei myTouch Q (T-Mobile):
I. Before You Begin
1. You should have rooted your device using the procedure given here. If you used any other method to root your device, this procedure may or may not work for you.
2. This procedure only works on Windows based PCs.
3. This shouldn’t remove any custom recovery, if you’ve flashed any.
II. Downloading Required Files
1. Download SuperOneClick and save it to your Desktop.

III. Unrooting the Huawei myTouch Q (T-Mobile)
1. Extract files from SuperOneClick by right-clicking on it and selecting Extract here.
2. Turn ON USB debugging on your device by going to Menu > Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging.
3. Plug in your device to your PC using the USB cable.
4. Double-click on SuperOneClick executable and it’ll launch.
5. Click Unroot in the tool and it’ll start unrooting your device.
6. Once unrooted, reboot your device.
7. You’re all done!
All set! You have unrooted your Huawei myTouch Q (T-Mobile).
