How to Add the Comma Back to the Keyboard in Windows Phone 8.1
With the rollout of Windows Phone 8.1, Microsoft has changed a lot of things in their mobile operating system. One such change (albeit questionable change) includes the removal of the comma from the main page of the keyboard. Now, whenever you want to set a comma, you’d first have to activate the numbers-keyboard to do so and could only then continue to write your message. Instead of dealing with this change though, you can simply activate the comma in your Windows Phone’s settings by following our step-by-step guide and live your grammatical correctness without wasting precious time tapping back and forth anymore.
1. Open the Setting app by swiping to the left on the start screen, scrolling down to Settings, and tapping it.
2. Scroll down until you see the keyboard option and tap that.
3. Tap “advanced”.
4. Check “Show a comma key when available.”
Even though it was that easy to find and pretty obviously placed in the keyboard settings most people simply don’t know it’s there. Now, instead of living with the missing comma, you can do something about it.
