How to Root the Acer Iconia Tab A510
Perhaps you’ve heard from your friends that you can enjoy a lot with a rooted device than an unrooted one, and maybe you decided to root your device as well. Yes, rooting has so many benefits that you’ll never get bored with it and if you want to root your Acer Iconia Tab A510 device, the guide below is all you need.
I. Before You Begin:
1. You’re gonna void the warranty of your device by rooting it. However, you can reinstate the warranty by unrooting your device if there’s any unrooting procedure available.
2. This procedure works on Windows based PCs only.
II. Downloading Required Files:
1. Root Package (Download link’s given in the post #93)
III. Rooting the Acer Iconia Tab A510:
1. Place the Root Package archive on your Desktop.
2. Extract files from the archive over to your Desktop.
3. Head to Menu>>Settings>>Applications>>Development on your device and enable the USB debugging option.
4. Plug in your device to your PC using the USB cable.
5. Now, follow these OS-specific steps:
a) If you’re on Windows, double-click the file named runit-win.bat.
b) If you’re on Linux, run the file runit-linux.sh.
6. It’ll now start rooting your device.
7. Once you’re rooted, head over to Google Play and download and install the Superuser app on your device.
8. Do NOT install the BusyBox app as it has been installed already.
9. You’re done!
Awesome! Your Iconia Tab A510 has been successfully rooted and you can confirm the same by simply installing any root-only app available for your device!
