XBox Games on Android and the iPhone?

Apparently the company Novell, is hard at work on a new technology to enable XBox 360 games to be played on Android and the iPhone.

This is obviously in response to Microsoft announcing that a major feature of Windows Phone will be the fact that it will run XNA (the code used to create Xbox games). They recently demonstrated the same game running on the Xbox, a Windows computer, and a Windows Phone (all while sharing almost 90% of the same code).

Novell’s technology, called MonoTouch, uses XNA and allows developers to translate .NET apps into native code for the iPhone.

Microsoft may have started something, and we all seem to be benefiting from it 🙂
