US Cellular adds HTC Merge to its offerings
After a subdued release this month via third-party retailers for Verizon, the Merge has now made its way on to US Cellular. The device is a mid-range Android phone that comes a 5MP camera, a 3.8-inch touchscreen display, an 800MHz processor with 512MB of RAM, 3G network support, aGPS, WiFi and the other usual components. The specs do sound average by current standards, but the Merge also has a full physical QWERTY keypad, which could be a plus for many customers. The device is currently on Sensed Android 2.2 but Gingerbread was promised for it by HTC in February, so there is hope yet.
The HTC Merge is available for a price of $149.99 with a two-year contract and if you are interested, the device is landing on US Cellular on May 31st.
