HTC myTouch 4G Slide with superior camera capabilities officially announced by T-Mobile
T-Mobile officially unveiled the newest member in its Android family of smartphones – the HTC myTouch 4G Slide. The device, according to T-Mobile, will be released next month at $199 on a two-year contract, which sounds like a sweet deal. Continue reading if you want to know why.
Everything about the myTouch 4G screams high end – you have your 3.7-inch Super LCD capacitive touchscreen WVGA display, enough horsepower (1.2GHz x2 processor with 768MB of RAM) to run a yesteryear PC and Google’s latest Android OS, Gingerbread 2.3, in tow with most of the standard connectivity options that the OS deserves. There’s also a physical slide-out QWERTY keypad that should keep any pudgy fingers off the screen for long emails or texts. What sets it apart from others in its league though is its camera, on par with the photog-friendly N9. The 8MP wide-aperture, HDR lens can capture images in low light and with HD quality to boot, not to mention do some pretty rapid shooting if you are into sports photography among other things.
Look for it to land on T-Mobile next month and if you have had your eye on something else, time to rethink your choice.
