Verizon Confirms Unlimited Data Ends For New Customers July 7

- 75MB plan at $10 (will cover non-smartphone users)
- 2GB plan at $30
- 5GB plan at $50
- 10GB plan at $80
Verizon confirmed their $20 tethering plan to still be in effect and adds 2GB of data that can be combined and used any way the user likes. Verizon customers who enjoy their 4G phones and unlimited device data can still have the unlimited LTE hotspot but will have to cough up an additional $30 a month. Overage will run users $10 per gigabyte.
What about all the existing Verizon customers happily using their unlimited data plans? Verizon had this to say,
“Anyone grandfathered into the older, better plans shouldn’t have trouble upgrading to a new device without having to use the capped plans”.
Verizon justifies the limited plans to help control data usage and allows the carrier greater ease when paying for network upgrades.
