Droid Incredible 2 gets Gingerbread update, finally
It’s been a long wait, but if it was worth it or not, we’ll have to wait and see. Droid Incredible 2 handsets on Verizon have now started getting the official Android 2.3 update across the country, which brings the version up to 2.18.605.4. The device has already seen its fair share of custom ROM building, so it’s up to the users now to go the official way or stick to the CM7 or MIUI ROMs that they currently rock. The update brings:
- Improved internet messaging performance
- New docking app
- No more Hotmail sync issues
- Improved device connectivity
- Wireless charging UI
The OTA update has only begun rolling out today, so don’t worry if you don’t see the notification right away, a little bit of patience (like a week’s worth) could see you up to date.
