T-Mobile Announces New HTC Wildfire S, Available August 3rd For $79.99
Earlier today we reported on leaked device specs of the HTC Wildfire S and didn’t have to wait long for a confirmation as T-Mobile announced it will be adding the new HTC Wildfire S to its portfolio.
The sleek HTC Sense and Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) enabled handset has a compact design and will be available August 3rd for the low price of $79.99 (after a $50 mail-in-rebate). You can snag the device in a stylish white color version online or in T-Mobile retail stores, while the black color model will be exclusive to Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club only.
Highlighted specs include a 3.2 inch touch screen display, virtual QWERTY keyboard with SWYPE, 5 megapixel camera and video recorder. Read on for the full press release below.

The HTC Wildfire S, expected to become available on August 3 for $79.99 after a $50 mail-in-rebate with a two-year service agreement and qualifying Classic voice and data plan (plus taxes and fees), comes equipped with the user-friendly HTC Sense experience combined with Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) operating system.
Packaged in a stylish form-factor, including a 3.2-inch capacitive touch screen display, the HTC Wildfire S is perfect for browsing the Web, accessing turn-by-turn navigation, sending and receiving emails, and keeping up with family and friends via Facebook and Twitter. The new low-cost smartphone also offers essential smartphone features such as a 5-megapixel camera and video recorder and a virtual QWERTY keyboard with Swype for easy text input.
