Nokia Lumia 710 now on Nokia USA website
Not a word was said at the Nokia World 2011 yesterday about a US release for Nokia’s first two Windows Phone devices, but this news should keep the hopes up for those who still rely on Nokia for their mobile needs. Lumia 710, the cheaper of the two WP 7.5 devices revealed at the event, has now appeared on the Nokia US website with a “Coming Soon” tag, pointing to a release in the near future stateside.
The slightly higher-specced Lumia 800 seems to be MIA and may take its time crossing the Pacific, or may not come at all, since Nokia could very well have brought the better device over before introducing a cheaper alternative. Anyways, news on whether the device will sell unlocked or be tied to a carrier is yet to come, but be ready to pony up about $378 unlocked or may be $100 if a carrier decides to host it.
