CyanogenMod 9 ported to work with the Xperia X10 Mini, X8 and X10 Mini Pro

With this CM9 port, the developer community has beaten Sony Ericsson (or is it just Sony now for the old devices too?) to a certain degree, who is still working on an ICS update for all of its Xperia devices.  The ROM was built by by paul-xxx over at XDA and is based on CyanogenMod 9, the dev-team moniker for ICS-based ROMs, and seems fully functional for three Xperia devices – X10 Mini Pro, X10 Mini and X8 – if not for a few bugs that are bound to pop up at this early stage of development anyways.

The camera, FM radio, HW/SW video decoder and WiFi (only DHCP) seem to be not working presently – a small price to pay to get Android 4.0 up and running on these devices and of course, the probability that these problems will be fixed in the future is too high to not get a taste of this ROM.

To know more about how to get the ROM working on your device, follow on over to the X8, X10 Mini and Mini Pro XDA threads for the complete installation details.
