iOS App of the Day: PicStitch

Have you ever wanted to combine more than one photo into one cool looking framed picture? Maybe you use other photo sharing apps, like Instagram, and want a way to make your photos stand out even more. With PicStitch for iOS this has never been easier. How it works:
Downloading the app is super easy and no sign up is required, which is nice for once. The first page you see is six different photo layouts. From there you can swipe to see five more pages of different layout choices. PicStitch offers a total of 32 different layout choices with 9 different photo aspect ratios (1×1, 4×6, 3×4, 5×7, 9×16, etc). There are more than enough different layouts to choose from. Once you’ve selected a layout, just double tab on a square to select a photo from your gallery. Once you’ve selected a photo for that specific square, then you can start editing the image (if you want). PicStitch makes it easy to either add color to your photo, make it black and white, or even add a sepia effect. You can also easily rotate, pan, flip, mirror, or zoom the photo. After you’ve filled your layout you then have the option to either export the framed image to Facebook, Instagram, Dropbox, or Evernote. You always have the option to save the image to your photo gallery.
Conclusion:
PicStitch is a fun app for anyone who enjoys taking photos with their iPhone and wants to share them with others. The free version of the app provides plenty of different photo layouts and editing options to choose from. Exporting to other social networks is painless, and you can always save the image directly back to your iPhone photo gallery. I wish PicStitch didn’t have advertisements, but considering the app is free I’ve been able to tolerate them. I usually only use PicStitch to edit or create a photo layout once or twice a day, so I am not spending ridiculous amounts of time with the app. This is the perfect app to use in conjunction with Instagram or to spice up your Facebook pictures.
PicStitch is available for free in the iTunes Store. Compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation) and iPad. Requires iOS 4.0 or later. iTunes Link
