How to Add and Remove Language Packs in Windows 8

Not everyone speaks English in this world and so you might want to add your native language to your Windows 8 PC. Microsoft allows to add and remove any additional language packs on Windows 8 and this guide shows how you can do that:

I. Before You Begin:

1. The language packs will be downloaded from Internet. So, make sure your PC’s connected to the Internet.

II. Adding a Language Pack in Windows 8:

1. Hit the Windows Key to go to the Start Screen.

2. Type in add a language in the search box and hit the option shown in the following screenshot.

3. Now click on the option that says Add a language.

4. Choose your language from the list of languages and hit Add.

Choose your language and hit Add

5. Double-click on the language name you just added.

6. Hit the Download and install language pack option.

7. It’ll then download the entire language pack from the Internet, should take a couple of minutes to finish.

8. Once done, reboot your system to see the changes.

9. You’re all done!

Brilliant! A new language has just been added to your Windows 8 PC. If you want to remove a language off your PC, here’s how you can do that:

III. Removing a Language Pack in Windows 8:

1. Go to the Start Screen and search for add a language. Hit the first option.

2. Click on the language you want to remove and hit Remove.

Select your Language and hit Remove

3. And it’ll be gone!

Cool! You’ve just removed a language from your PC.
