Rumor: Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie Headed For An October Launch
It’s been awhile since we last heard of a Key Lime Pie flavored rumor, so this one caught our attention thanks to a report from VR-Zone. Their sources have Google’s next major version of its mobile OS, Android 5.o launching in October. The report goes on to detail that this would coincide with the launch of the Motorola X Phone and the Nexus 5 handset.
What is even more interesting is that the guys at VR-Zone believe Android 5.0 to be support older Android devices and those with 512MB of RAM and above. It goes without saying that this would be welcome news to Android handset makers and those of you still clutching onto your prehistoric Android phones.
Granted this is still all part of the Key Lime rumor train, and for now we’ll take this one with a pinch of skepticism. In the meantime, we’ll keep our eyes peeled for any other crumbs that may surface in the coming weeks.
