How to Flash a Custom Recovery on the LG Optimus F6 (MetroPCS)

In this procedure, we’ll show you how to flash a custom recovery on your LG Optimus F6 (MetroPCS).

I. Before You Begin
1. You must be rooted before you can do this procedure. Please head to our root guide and root your device first, then come back to this procedure and continue.
2. Your device should have at least 50% of battery life left.
II. Downloading Required Files
1. Download LTE 2 Recovery APK and save it to your Desktop.

III. Flashing a Custom Recovery on the LG Optimus F6 (MetroPCS)
1. Connect your device to your PC via USB cable.
2. Copy the LTE 2 Recovery APK from your Desktop over to the root of your SD card.
3. Once it’s been copied, disconnect your device from your PC.
4. Head to Menu > Settings > Security on your device and enable the Unknown sources option.
5. Open File Manager and tap on the APK you just copied to your device and it’ll install.
6. Launch the app from your App Drawer.
7. Tap on Recovery Apply button in the app and then hit the Reboot button.
8. You should now be in Recovery mode.
