How to Track & Wipe Your Droid Turbo w/ Motorola’s Device Management

Ok, I know we think it will never happen to us, but let’s all be brave for a moment and face the fact that at some point in time our precious devices will be lost or (gasp!) stolen. Therefore, it’s important to take all the necessary steps to protect not just your phone, but all the information contained within it. Luckily, the Droid Turbo comes with many different options to help you in the event your phone goes missing. One of these is Motorola’s Device Management. By activating it on your phone, you will be able to remotely track your device, should it become lost. It you simply misplaced it, and think it may have fallen between the couch cushions, you can have it ring for three minutes, helping you to find it. And, in the event of theft, you can lock or even wipe your device, preventing the thief from accessing personal information. It’s a great tool to help you make the best of a bad situation- They can take our phones, but they will never take our identities!

You may have noticed that, upon first powering on your fancy new Droid, it greeted you with an invitation to “protect your phone.” If you took Droid Turbo up on its offer, and allowed it to guide you through the steps needed to activate Motorola’s Device Management- congratulations! Your phone is already protected. You did good. But for all you hubristic fools out there who ignored your Turbo’s suggestion, you’ll have to figure out how to activate your Device Manager yourself.
